We are excited to announce the launch of the Special Situations Law blog, a space for our Special Situations team members to comment and deliver insight on the legal and business developments impacting shareholder activism in Canada and globally.  The blog will house a wealth of resources and perspectives on special situations law, including:

  • incisive commentary about regulatory, legal and business developments
  • videos discussing shareholder activism
  • links to relevant case law and legislation
  • views from our global Norton Rose Fulbright colleagues in the area

The blog is led by our Canadian Special Situations team. The team has played a leading role in Canada’s most high-profile shareholder activist and defence mandates, as well as complex reorganization transactions. The team has led or defended dozens of proxy battles in recent years, including many of the most high-profile fights in Canada.

Shareholder activism  is one of the key business and legal issues facing many Canadian companies in recent years and in 2014. For more information on the Canadian Special Situations team visit our website.
